Restorative Justice
At its core, Restorative Justice centers the wellbeing of a community. Rooted in African and Indigenous concepts of communal harmony, Restorative Justice acknowledges that when harm occurs, a community is impacted.
In order for harm to be repaired restoratively, it must be addressed in a safe process that centers the voice(s) and needs of those harmed, holds those who caused harm accountable for their impact, and identifies what is needed in order to make things right for the individual(s) harmed. Restorative Justice processes ensure that the identified needs of the harmed person(s) are mutually understood, and to the extent possible, fulfilled. Additionally, Restorative Justice processes fully support the reintegration of the harmed person(s), and person(s) who caused harm, back into the community as deserving, valued members.

At Restorative Impact, our consultant-practitioners partner with clients to plan, facilitate and implement restorative justice through the use of restorative practices-the methods by which restorative justice is achieved. These practices include, but are not limited to, direct facilitation, systematic implementation design, and professional development training.

Our work is rooted in cultural responsiveness and a conscious lens that considers the lived experiences of the students we serve.

Conflict Resolution
Conflict is an inevitable aspect of life that illuminates challenges in our relationships. When navigated effectively, conflict provides an opportunity to explore contrasting perspectives in a way that honors truth of experience, reveals new insights, resolves issues and transforms relationships.

At Restorative Impact, we offer conflict resolution services that include mediation, restorative justice processes, de-escalation training, and conflict coaching. Our facilitation style prioritizes creating safe spaces for our clients to work through challenges in an environment that supports vulnerability and authenticity. Therefore, all conflict resolution services include extensive prep-work and debriefing. This helps us ensure that all parties understand and agree to the process.
